I love Gerrard Larriett Aromatherapy products (the have the BEST pet odor candles)! I usually use Earth Bath for shampoo but I decided to give their shampoo & conditioner a try because my Shih Tzu is such a whiney baby in the tub! I admit that when I read this ‘De-Stress’ I rolled my eyes, but I bought it anyway because I do love the scent of Lavender. I’m not sure if it’s the shampoo/conditioner but my little pup has not tried to scram out of the tub since I started using this. I probably shouldn’t be doing it but I give my pup a bath often and prior to this, she was trying her best to be an escape artist. UPDATE: One of my dogs decided to roll on a dead animal and came into the house smelling like skunk! I immediately put him in the tub and gave him a bath with Gerrard Larriett Lavender & Chamomile Shampoo. It totally did the trick and he still smells great two weeks later.
I’ve used other Gerrard Larriett products and they have all been great quality. I’ve very selective on all pet products and will not use anything that has low quality ingredients. While I’ve only used the shampoo once, the smell is fantastic and it seems to be gentle on my dogs.

I love this!! I have three longhair Miniature Dachshunds who have super sensitive skin and hair. Usually shampoo makes them dry and flaky them my Cream her skin gets super itchy and hot pink for weeks after. This shampoo is so gentle on them and makes them feel soft as silk! As a professional groomer, who owns her own salon, I was wanting to find another shampoo that could qualify as ‘holistic’ with no chemicals, soap, or high doses of perfume. I saw this product on amazon and thought I would give it a try since the product details sounded rather nice. The over all performance of both the Balancing and the Relaxing are great. Do not be fooled when using that these products do not ‘sudz’ up. Since they are not infused with soap, you will not get a lot of bubbles and may feel like the product is not cleaning your pet. Actually, the products do a very nice job of cleaning the coat without over working the skin and coat with soap. Also, the product rinses cleanly away and does not leave any thick residue. Amazingly, I have noticed that the dogs I have washed with these two products dry a little faster than with the other varieties of all natural / soap free products that I use (Aromacare / Tropiclean – which I do love to use). I must also commend the producer for these shampoos to leave the dogs feeling very soft without the use of an added conditioner.
Now, for the only downside. When you open the bottles, the scents are very aromatic and lovely, however, the scents quickly disappear during the wash and are almost nonexistent from then after. I do wish the product scents were as lovely after the wash as the scents coming from the bottles. Although there are finishing sprays available with the scents, the shampoos themselves should have enough of a scent to remain upon the dog as many costumers I have come across are not fond of finishing sprays or perfumes.
As a reminder, these shampoos are not “tearless” and should not be used anywhere around the face or eyes. If this company does produce a product specific for use around the head and eyes, that would be wonderful. Also, as a professional, it would be nice if theses products eventually were out for purchase in gallons that could be purchased from whole-sellers such as Ryan’s. But for home use, the smaller bottles are enough.

The shampoo arrived well packaged, sealed in a zip lock bag and with a seal on the lid so that it couldn’t open in transit. The fragrance is pleasant and mild. We followed directions included on the label and the shampoo performed better than I expected. There was a very slight lather, the shampoo rinsed off easily and completely. Cody’s coat shines beautifully with a handsome amount of body and very good whitening. The scent of the shampoo lingers slightly. I will buy this again.

I like this shampoo but only time will tell if it really helps with my dog’s itchy skin. Unlike some of the other reviews, she did not magically love her bath but she did submit to it! Beyond that, it smells good and stays smelling good for a few extra days. The only weird thing was that the company actually called and left a message on my phone asking me how I was liking the product. That’s kind of cool and kind of weird.

Love this shampoo. I’ve only used it once but I definitely notice that it keeps my dog smelling fresh and clean longer than any other shampoo I’ve used. Having short-nosed stinky dogs (pugs, english bulldog, boston terriers), I am impressed with this shampoo and this is my second purchase. We have tried everything for problematic skin; diet changes, special soaps, antibiotics…the list is long and expensive. Most soaps dry them out, then you have to put on conditioner making them feel greasy instead of soft. This shampoo, and going through a hundred diet options until settling on Merrick back country and honest kitchen, seems to do the job. They smell good, they come out super soft and cuddly…exactly as they’re supposed to be. My bostons don’t mind the soap, but they still give bath time 1 star.

Bought this last week and gave our Zoe (Maltese) a bath. Great results! Our little girl always likes her bath and this product did a wonderful job. We always had trouble getting her muzzle really white and this did a great job. I was initially concerned because it doesn’t foam much but this did not effect the cleaning, in fact it made it much easier to rinse her. I look forward to trying some of their other products.

Smells ok, it starts off smelling almost like a soft baby powder. But I have two dogs, and after a few hours the smell would start to smell “off,” and just not fresh anymore. I think the 6$ crap at Kmart is better. Neither my puppy (Rott) nor my grown dog (long haired weenie) are rowdy dogs in the tub so I can not speak on the “de-stressing,” aspect. They seemed typically calm for them.
I’m more or less disappointed because I was looking for a long term smell, which I’ve only typically found in the oatmeal soaps. I bathe both

Disappointing experience all around. Seemed to need a lot more product to be used than normal while still producing no soap, making me feel like I’m rubbing their hair with just water. This is the best dog shampoo that I have ever used on my two boxers. You can really smell the lavender and chamomile in the shampoo. It has low suds, so it is easy to wash out of their coats. It did not take me long to wash each of my dogs. It is very good for my dogs’ skin because it is made of all natural products. There are no harsh ammonias or any other chemicals in it that would irritate their soft skin. I am very particular about the products that I use on my pets.
I usually take my two dogs to a groomer to have them bathed. It is getting quite expensive, because they both are over 60 pounds. When I was looking on Amazon, I came across the Gerard Larriet Aromatherapy pet care products. I decided to take a chance and try their shampoo. I am so glad I did! After the dogs were done with their baths, they smelled fresh and clean. There was no overbearing smell from the lavender and chamomile. It left their coats feeling shiny and soft. I do not see any redness or any signs of irritation from the shampoo. I highly recommend this to all dog parents who are wanting to use a gentle shampoo, free of any chemicals on their dogs.

I have 3 Bichons and one of them has allergies and gets hot spots when I take her to the groomer. She has been to multiple groomers, as we have lived both MT & CA and still the same thing, every time she goes to the groomer for the past 6 years she ends up scratching & biting herself. Works great on my cavachon. Lola is part Bichon Frise and Cavalier King Charles spaniel, which means a wavy, thick fur that mats too easily. Not sure if it is the long walk before bath, the bone she knows she gets after a bath or the fact that this is what she gets bathed with but Lola looks forward to bath time and so do I.
This shampoo/conditioner delivers the great scent and works at removing dirt, soil and scent from her coat. It is easy to comb out before and after the bath. I definately recommend this product.

Wow. I gave my little fur balls baths today with this shampoo and they are so shiny and smell great. My cat is a terror to bathe, but the de-stress really worked for her. She was about 50% less nuts and actually stood still for a minute. Huge improvement for her. Their fur is so soft. The shampoo is thick, has no harmful chemicals, like SSLs, which are what cheap brands use to get lather. Honestly, I was shocked that anyone would give this product a bad review. Firstly, I find the scent quite strong, unlike some other users who complained the smell faded. Well, how long do you stay daisy fresh after a bath? I thought it lathered fine, too, but then I’m used to natural products that don’t have a bunch of crap in them to trick people into thinking a cleaning product works because it lathers and smells overpowering.

Oh my goodness. This dog shampoo may be life changing, no joke! First impressions on dog shampoo. We have two boxers, and if you’ve never smelt a stinky boxer before… well…. yes, it’s bad. Bath time has always been a struggle for us and I just got done bathing the dogs and I seriously feel like we all had a two hour massage with how relaxed we all are. Now, I also used a Massage Brush on them that I can tell they thoroughly enjoyed. I like that this shampoo is natural because my boxers have finicky skin (which I think a lot do). With the massage brush, I felt like I used so much less shampoo. This one smells amazing and I think it definitely contributed to the relaxing feel of bath time. The best thing is, I just walked by the bathroom and it doesn’t smell like wet, dirty dog. I will update this review once I’ve had a proper test run of this product, but I’m already so impressed that I think I found a lifelong product. YES!

I notice that my dog had some skin irritation so friend said her dog had the same problem, but after she change my dog’s shampoo it went away. She recommend this shampoo because it smells get. After using this shampoo I notice her skin problem went away which was great news. This will be my new go to shampoo for my dog. Just average, kinda pricy
Bought it based on the high reviews on Amazon and tried it on my dog right away. However it was not as amazing as what other reviews are saying. The shampoo didn’t lather as much so I had to use a lot of shampoo. The smell is pleasant but not very noticeable the following day, so odor eliminating is not very effective. My dog constantly licks his feet and pawn after bath and I hope it’s not the shampoo that’s making his skin irritated again.

Creamy endured months and months of a cut-rate shampoo with whitener. What do I know, it’s soap to clean a dog, right? As the bottle runs dry, I get to thinking she deserves better. She’s a Maltese–but that means little to me. She’s loyal, smart, and favors dad over the rest of the house full of women. That rates her some better shampoo, I figure. Tonight Creamy got her first De-Stress washing and I could tell. She was calmer, and her hair was more subdued. It didn’t stick out as much, was quicker to dry, seemed much smoother… and there were no knots during her first post-wash combing. I’m no groomer, and we don’t prim our dog for shows–but this shampoo makes for a happier, more comfortable dog. Creamy deserves that!

Nice Scented Shampoo
We used the shampoo as soon as it was delivered since it was time for our American Bulldog, KayKay, to have a bath. She seemed to like the smell and I like it as well but I’ve always enjoyed the smell of lavender. Time will tell how long the smell last but so far I have no complaints.

Takes a lot to get a good lather going, and my dog isn’t a long hair dog he is a pittie mix.

There’s no lavender or chamomile written in ingredients unless it’s ‘fragrance’ which is listed, but there’s absolutely nothing aromatic about this shampoo. It’s exactly smells like baby shampoo. I bought into a label. Return.

Just got it today and used it. My first impressions are that it does smell really nice to me and that it was a pleasant smell for my dog. He’s never been difficult to wash so I can’t say if it made him more relaxed while washing him, but seeing as he went straight to sleep afterwards, it was probably very pleasant for him.

The first thing you’ll notice about this luscious pooch shampoo is the wonderful fragrance. I have two dogs and on bath day I started with the one that dislikes baths the most. She did not try to jump out of the tub once, as she usually does. There’s something in this shampoo that completely relaxed her and made bath time a breeze! Not a drop of product found in the bottle or packaging. Seal around the cap of the bottle appears to be old, loose and worn down. I’m sure it was an accident but I’m not sure if I want to reorder.

Smells great and cured my dog’s itching
I have a maltese and have always owned maltese and have always used whitening shampoos to keep them white and bright! However, that did work well for my newest little guy. He constantly itched and ended up with dry skin. I tried shampoo after shampoo to try and find one that would keep him smelling great for a week until his next bath, cured his itchy sensitive skin, and yet didn’t dull his fur. This stuff works great and I am now a repeat customer!!

Have used this shampoo on my dog for 4 years and will continue to use it. Has a great scent and leaves my dog’s fur soft and shiny.
It is a bit thick, so would recommend diluting it before using it. This will help when rinsing.
